For the past 5 years, PROHASHING has had the benefit of the ingenuity and talent of Mr. Vance Vu. He came on with the project early on in its development, and his efforts have been pivotal to the growth of PROHASHING as a company. It is bittersweet that, at the end of this week, we must announce that our amazing Mining Guru is moving on to new opportunities.
Vance’s greatest accomplishment was the revamp of the original website in 2020 from the old AngularJS code to the new Angular code, and the redesign that accompanied it, eventually making way for the more moderate redesign in May of 2022. Vance was also solely responsible for the initial implementation of ethash mining in 2018.
Since then, he has trained our Website Wizard, Michael Steward, and he mentored our newer back end software engineer, Adithya, teaching him about mining. He added algorithms for Chia, Conflux, and Ergo mining to the mining servers, and he implemented Grafana monitoring for the system, replacing OpenNMS, which allows us to better monitor for potential problems before they become larger issues.
We value Vance’s contributions to PROHASHING, we will miss his skill, and we wish him success on his newest adventure!
